Meet the producer

"Terre dei Santi" was born in 2004 from the union of the "Cantina del Barbera" of San Damiano d'Asti and the "Cantina Sociale del Freisa" of Castelnuovo Don Bosco, whose first nucleus was founded in 1953.

Together they have created one of the largest wine producers in central Piemonte.

There are about 320 hectares of vineyards located in 3 well-defined areas: Chieri, Castelnuovo Don Bosco and San Damiano d'Asti.

"Terre dei Santi" produces wine only from grapes provided by its 150 members, for a total of 16,000 hectoliters per year.

Grapes cultivated in the area are mainly "Freisa", "Malvasia di Schierano", "Nebbiolo", "Arneis" and "Barbera".

Wines are mainly divided into 3 lines: young and sparkling reds, dry and sweet sparkling wines and high-quality wines, selected and aged.

The perfect match

For a simple and informal aperitif based on appetizers and chips, a flute of "Freisa Spumante" is recommended.

For lunch with a mixed platter of fresh cheese, try a glass of "Arneis - Terre Alfieri".

Last but not least, if you choose a pasta dish with a meat sauce for dinner, have a glass of "Freisa d'Asti - Zaffo".
