The history of "Stefano Rossotto" winery began in 1923, the year when Nando, the paternal grandfather, planted the first vineyard of "Freisa" and "Barbera" after having bought the farmstead from the parish.
Today, after four generations at the helm, the winery continues to have a familial character and makes wine respecting the region's tradition and environment.
From the beginning, the goal was to produce wines that expressed the sincere and frank character of the territory.
The winery has eight hectares of vineyards between the hills of Torin and the Monferrato area, and their most typical wines are "Freisa di Chieri", "Barbera", "Bonarda" (both dry and sparkling), "Cortese" and "Malvasia".
Red wines from the hills of Torino such as "Freisa" and "Barbera" are ideal to be drunk with your meal.
They are well-matched to the gastronomical traditions of the territory, such as "tajarin" pasta with sausage sauce, "agnolotti del plin" pasta with chicken broth and pork cheek in wine.
