"Pasticceria Scalenghe" was founded in 1954 in Trofarello and immediately made a name for itself for its artisan production and selection of the best raw materials, such as the "Piedmontese PGI Hazelnut", "Gran CRU" and "Criollo" cocoa, stone-ground flour, Val di Susa chestnuts and Piedmontese acacia honey.
6 years later, the third generation of confectioners has stuck to the same values, still producing "Torrone Morbido" (soft nougat) with "Piedmontese PGI Hazelnut", "Bronte" pistachios, "Bari" almonds and dark chocolate or "gianduja" topping.
Their great attention to the environment has led to a product line whose packaging is made from flower paper, which can be sown.
"Torrone Morbido" (soft nougat with hazelnuts) is undoubtedly "Pasticceria Scalenghe" most traditional recipe and should be eaten with coffee or tea or with a glass of sweet "Moscato" or "Passito" wines.
