"Molino Peila" has been operating in the milling industry for 90 years (since 1924), when Domenico Peila purchased a XIX century mill in Valperga.
In the ‘80s, "Molino Peila" became one of the first examples of business transformation in this sector: it started with soft wheat, but then converted to the milling of corn and rice.
In 2016, "Molino Peila" added an organic transformation line to the traditional one and expanded its range of products to superfoods, cereals and legumes, all of them allergen and gluten-free.
Some examples of grain and flour: millet, teff, red rice, black rice, green pea and red lentil.
Over time "Molino Peila" obtained several certifications and now is one of the Italian leading companies in gluten-free products.
Porridge can be made from "cannellini" bean flour, lovely focaccia from lentil flour, "piadina" from quinoa and spelt flour (ready to be filled with cold cuts or vegetables), a raspberry muffin from rice flour and, finally, a beautiful soft cake with strawberry grapes from corn flour.
