"La Scolca" is an innovative company that looks at the future with a unique spirit, focusing on the pursuit and consolidation of high quality.
This winery is based in the Gavi municipality, a wine-growing area prestigious for producing a mineral and vertical white wine based on "Cortese" grapes that takes its name from the area.
The company manages an area of about 50 hectares of vineyards, about 200 km of rows, cultivated almost entirely with "Cortese di Gavi".
"Gavi" is certainly the spearhead of the production and is proposed in different versions: still and dry (ready to drink), "Spumante Metodo Classico" and "Riserva" (to be left to age in the cellar).
Thanks also to "La Scolca", today "Gavi" is known and recognised all over the world as an Italian white wine of exceptional quality.
"Gavi" is a white wine with intense mineral and fruity notes that goes well with raw fish tartare, "carpaccio" and sushi.
An excellent local recipe is risotto with "Gavi", simply whipped up with butter and cheese and sprinkled with few drops of wine.
