Davide, Luca and Alessandro, all from different professional backgrounds, decided to invest in their land, the Canavese area, and produce Italian and organic Goji berries.
The glacial and morainic soils of Canavese area are rich in sand, perfect ripening conditions for Lycium Barbarum, the plant of the famous Goji berries.
"Italgoji" uses only organic products and biodynamic macerates, practises controlled grassing and harvests everything by hand.
The benefits of Goji berries are countless: energising, antioxidants against ageing, excellent for those suffering from high cholesterol, they protect eyesight and the immune system.
In addition to dried Goji berries ready for consumption, nectars, compotes, elixirs and a "Langhe Dolcetto DOC" wine are also produced.
Excellent as an addition to sweet dishes such as a "panna cotta", Goji berries can be used as savoury ingredients in the preparation of cabbage salads, grilled octopus or sushi dishes.
