Meet the producer

"Gringhigna" was born from a simple conviction: that spaces historically closed to women and queer people in viticulture should be opened.

Roberta returned from years in Barcelona's corporate world to Piedmont's Monferrato hills in 2022, transforming Azienda Agricola Ivaldi into something defiant—a queer vineyard where inclusion isn't marketing, it's the whole point.

From the "Witches' Wine" debut to the first harvest in 2023, "Gringhigna" moved fast, landing on tables across Italy and proving there was hunger for this. Every bottle carries the ethos that anchors everything: respect.

For the land, the people who work it, and those who choose to drink with values aligned. Sustainable practices, grassroots collaborations, and genuine community work run through production—proof that a wine revolution tastes better when it's real.

The perfect match

"Norma" (Rosato): this rosato knows what it is: not trying to be white, not pretending to be red. Serve it cold with seafood, fresh cheeses, and cured meats. It's your aperitivo wine and your dinner companion all at once. Works beautifully with tomato-based dishes too.

"Sibilla" (Cortese): a clean, mineral Cortese that pairs with light fish, delicate pasta dishes, and creamy risottos. The acidity cuts through richness without overwhelming. A wine that lets food speak, not the other way around.

"Agnes" (Brachetto): lightly sparkling and naturally fruity. Serve it cold as an aperitivo, or with light desserts and biscuits. Don't overthink it. This is the wine for moments that should feel easy.

"Dorothea" (Moscato): aromatic and gently sweet. Think blue cheese and walnuts, or simply drink it alone at the end of the meal. The florality pairs surprisingly well with spiced desserts. Chill it well.

"Ena" (Barbera): bold and structured, made for food. This is the wine for hearty ragù, roasted red meats, and aged cheeses. Barbera's acidity refreshes the palate with every sip, essential for rich plates. Serve at room temperature or slightly cool.

"Bertha" (Passito di Moscato): concentrated sweetness from dried grapes. Pair with amaretti, panna cotta, or aged Parmigiano. Or drink it alone as meditation at day's end. A spoonful is enough.

"Bombo Selvatico" (Grignolino): light-bodied with delicate tannins. Serve slightly cool with charcuterie boards, cured meats, or dishes where you want presence without heaviness. It's elegant restraint in a glass.

"Lucciola Selvatica" (Chardonnay): mineral and expressive. Works with seafood, white meat, and creamy vegetables. Equally at home at table or as a contemplative sip on its own. This is a Chardonnay that respects the terroir.
