"Giacometto Bruno", located in Caluso, is a family-owned winery, founded around 1920 when grandfather Gioacchino returned from the First World War and began expanding the winery.
The first important bottling happened in 1962, and in 1967 the DOC recognition arrived for "Erbaluce di Caluso Passito".
Since 2001, the new generation has been running the company, which is now active on 9 hectares of vineyards, 6 of which are planted with "Erbaluce".
The philosophy is to produce quality wine by working carefully in the vineyard, respecting the soil and never using herbicides and chemical fertilizers.
As a matter of facts, in 2019, "Giacometto Bruno" has been organic certified.
The main wines are "Erbaluce di Caluso Passito", "Erbaluce di Caluso Spumante Metodo Classico" and "Canavese DOC Nebbiolo".
"Erbaluce di Caluso Passito", made from dried grapes, is a meditation wine, excellent with desserts (particularly dry pastries) and mature or blue cheese such as "Castelmagno", "Blu del Monviso" and "Roquefort".
