The "Grado Plato" brewery was founded in 2003 in Chieri, a village near Torino.
It all started with the idea of Sergio Ormea and his son Gabriele, who turned their passion for brewing beer at home into a professional activity.
In 2007, they decided to move the production plant to Montaldo Torinese.
At the moment, "Grado Plato" produces 12 different beers, with a big warehouse always well-stocked.
They are craft brewers and take care of each production stage.
The first 2 beers were "Sveva" and "Spoon River", followed almost immediately by "Strada San Felice" (a Lager brewed with chestnuts) and "Sticher", the first native Piedmontese beer brewed with locally grown hops and malt.
Beers are available exclusively in bottles and a hop-based bitter is also marketed.
The "Sveva" Lager is simple and drinkable, perfect with popcorn.
The "Sticher" is a full-bodied, slightly bitter beer that goes well with Piedmontese pasta dishes.
Finally, the "Spoon River" is a conversation beer that perfectly fits an informal aperitif setting with friends.
